Hydrogel face masks are taking the beauty blogging community by storm. Supposedly a better and more hydrating version of the original cotton paper sheet mask.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the packet, was that there is less essence/serum in the packet than my usual cotton sheet masks which are always drenched in liquid. The gel mask is cut into two separate pieces which mold to the face well but the bottom piece slid down a lot and i would have to readjust it. The gel also began to dry out after 10 minutes or so and I no longer felt that it was moisturizing my skin.
I took off the mask and my skin did seem more hydrated but only for a short period of time. I gave this product two stars because it was not absolutely terrible and did not cause any bad reactions however I saw no improvements either.
