This is a hydrating balm with a definite rose scent that claims to boost radiance, I don't know about boosting radiance but it does do a good job of hydrating the skin, especially if layered over a hydrating essence, it really locks in moisture and keeps my skin feeling hydrated and plump. Initially I made the mistake of using too much product and when I rubbed it into my skin it seemed to pill on me. Using less product, gently spreading on my skin and pressing it in is the way to go with this one. Glad to see that less is more given the price of this product is on the high side for drugstore. I have dry skin and this has a somewhat matte finish to it so those with oily skin should not be afraid of this product. Do not be concerned that the matte finish means it isn’t moisturizing, it really does provide a good barrier layer to keep hydration in and doubles as a pore filling/blurring primer. My only caution is that if you are sensitive to fragrance this is quite strong, at least on initial application, and if you don't like rose scented products then you won't like this.
